Ride Like the Wind With These Amazing BMX Games

BMX Free Style

BMX Free Style

This Unity based browser game looks like a polished gem -but it is still a little rough on the edges. Still, it delivers a solid bike stunt game that we cannot help but love it. The concept is simple: you ride a bike in a stunt course and are free to do whatever you want. Stunts give points and earning a specific amount of points within a given amount of time will unlock new stuff to play with. It is straightforward and easy to grasp (and is pretty much the same formula as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series), though performing the stunts and pulling off a perfect run is going to take a bit of practice. To pull off a stunt, you will have to hold down a stunt button and your movement controls suddenly switch to stunt controls. While not the most intuitive control system for a BMX game, the complexity lends itself well to the game. Play BMX Free Style.

BMX Tricks

BMX Tricks

Old school gamers will instantly recognize Tricks' 80's inspired stages; it is basically a homage of Excite Bike, and old 8-Bit game that featured motocross bikes. In BMX Tricks, there are no laps or checkered flags. The goal is to keep going around the circuit and perform as many tricks as possible. There is a time limit so players have to carefully execute stunts while avoiding obstacles. The stage provides players with ramps and railings for performing stunts. Also, while the tap to pedal control can be quite challenging to use, it also makes the game a lot more fun as you really feel the effort of the rider. Play BMX Tricks Here.

BMREX

BMREX

This game lets you control a T-Rex on a bike, and you really cannot go wrong with something like that. There's really not much else to the game other than the insanity of biking at ridiculous speeds in order to reach the goal before the time ends. This game is a mad biking sprint from one end to another. While the checkpoints will add a good 30 seconds to your counter, players have a limited number of lives and plenty of critical jumps to make. The game can be finishing in a single sitting. So do not expect to be spending more than an afternoon playing this. Still, it will be a highly entertaining afternoon when you do. Play BMX Rex Here

Bicycle Run

Bicycle Run

Bicycle Run has a bit of a gambling element -you have to bet on each race and if you ever run out of cash, it is game over. Win and you make more money to improve your stats and your bike. It is an interesting concept as players have to assess their own biking capabilities while figuring out if they can win against certain opponents. It is a good thing that the game relies equally on your stats and your actual skill in controlling the bike when it comes to determining how well you will do. Despite this, expect to be outclassed stat-wise during the early parts of the game. Play Bicycle Run Here.

Toon BMX Race

Toon BMX Race

Get into the bike seat and race some of the most iconic cartoon characters in this BMX game; Ash, Son Goku, Bart Simpson, and other characters challenge Mario into a marathon of races. You will be trekking across various spots in the Mushroom Kingdom in this fan-made crossover spectacle. Better keep that bike frame straight on the landings as the races tend to stay neck to neck -and even the slightest bit of delay can cost you the checkered flag. So if you were looking for a straightforward race with fun characters and a real challenge, then Toon BMX Race is perfect for you. Play Toon BMX Race Here.

BMX Master

BMX Master

This 2D BMX stunt game may seem simple, but it is actually quite challenging and hard to play -we highly recommend this to players who want to test their limits when it coes to fine tuned keyboard controls. The goal of the game is for the player is to accomplish a perfect run and achieve a specific score. By perfect run, we mean no crashes at all. The game will reset your points back to zero if you crash -making each objective very hard to achieve. The good thing is that there is no time limit so there is no need to get too risky with moves. Still, earning a big score will require getting both stunt multipliers and a good sense of balance to stay upright. Play BMX Master Here.

Mountain Bike

Mountain Bike

For a surprisingly simple game, Mountain Bike manages to capture the essence of what it actually feels like to be pedaling your way across treacherous terrain. The first thing we noticed that Mountain Bike is not really all that BMX-ish, but the fact that the game does not count your gear selection and only provides you with controls for acceleration and pitch makes it feel like you are attempting a difficult rocky course on a BMX. The premise is simple: balancing your energy and your bike (literally) in order to reach a significant distance. There is no time limit -and much like being on tough terrain, reaching the goal is the only thing that counts. So no, raising speed is hardly a concern (unless you are saving energy to cruise across smoother terrain). Most of the time, you will be navigating through perilous parts of the course where a single mistake can be very costly. The way that Mountain Bike delivers such a good mirror of the actual experience gives it a permanent spot on top list of BMX titles. Play Mountain Bike Here.
